The Rest of the Story was a Monday-through-Friday radio program originally hosted by Paul Harvey. Beginning as a part of his newscasts during the Second World War and then premiering as its own series on the ABC Radio Networks on May 10, 1976, The Rest of the Story consisted of stories presented as little-known or forgotten facts on a variety of subjects with some key element of the story (usually the name of some well-known person) held back until the end. The broadcasts always concluded with a variation on the tag line “And now you know the rest of the story.”From its inception, the scripts for the series had been drafted and the broadcasts produced by Harvey’s son Paul Harvey, Jr., who in later years of his father’s career also acted as a substitute host. Some of the radio stories were published in book form as The Rest of the Story and More of The Rest of the Story. (On the back cover of More of the Rest of the Story, the book is said to contain “True mysteries from history”.) Includes 663 Episodes! NOTES: THIS IS NOT AN AUDIO CD/DVD! Brand New Audio Book on 13 CDs A family ranch in Big Sur country and a legacy of Hollywood royalty set the stage for Nora Roberts’ emotional new suspense novel, Hideaway. Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star―yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide and seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Dillon Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house―but when the teenager and his family heard her story they provided refuge, reuniting her with her loved ones. Cate’s ordeal, though, was far from over. First came the discovery of a shocking betrayal that would send someone she’d trusted to prison. Then there were years spent away in western Ireland, peaceful and protected but with restlessness growing in her soul. Finally, she would return to Los Angeles, gathering the courage to act again and get past the trauma that had derailed her life. What she didn’t yet know was that two seeds had been planted that long-ago night―one of a great love, and one of a terrible vengeance… “Narrator January LaVoy brings a richly layered performance to a story about a Hollywood kidnapping…She expertly handles the large cast of multigenerational characters…Adding an additional level of enjoyment is LaVoy’s depiction of Caitlyn’s profession: voice actress. How fun!” — AudioFile Magazine
ALL OF GRACE by Charles H. Spurgeon 3 AUDIO CD HE WHO SPOKE and wrote this message will be greatly disappointed if it does not lead many to the Lord Jesus. It is sent forth in childlike dependence upon the power of God the Holy Ghost, to use it in the conversion of millions, if so He pleases. No doubt many poor men and women will take up this little volume, and the Lord will visit them with grace. To answer this end, the very plainest language has been chosen, and many homely expressions have been used. But if those of wealth and rank should glance at this book, the Holy Ghost can impress them also; since that which can be understood by the unlettered is none the less attractive to the instructed. Oh that some might read it who will become great winners of souls! Who knows how many will find their way to peace by what they read here? A more important question to you, dear reader, is this – Will you be one of them? (From All of Grace) Read by Mary Ann Approx. Play time: 3 hours 30 minutes chapter list What Are We At? The Book of Enoch Translated by Robert Charles 4 Audio CD There are several controversial aspects of the Book of Enoch, which have sparked debate among scholars and religious communities: Canonization: The Book of Enoch is not included in the Hebrew Bible or the Christian Old Testament, and its canonicity has been disputed by many religious leaders and scholars. Some argue that it should be considered scripture, while others view it as a valuable but non-canonical work. Apocalyptic themes: The Book of Enoch contains vivid descriptions of apocalyptic events, including the end of the world and the judgment of God. Some readers interpret these passages literally, while others see them as symbolic or metaphorical. Angelology: The book contains extensive descriptions of angels and their roles in the world, including fallen angels who rebelled against God. Some religious leaders have criticized these passages for promoting beliefs that are not in line with mainstream theological teachings. The Book of Enoch contains extensive descriptions of fallen angels, also known as the Watchers or Grigori, who are portrayed as rebellious heavenly beings who descended to earth and engaged in illicit relations with human women, resulting in the birth of giant offspring known as the Nephilim. According to the book, the fallen angels taught humans various forms of knowledge, including metalworking, cosmetics, and divination. They were also blamed for introducing evil and corruption into the world and were ultimately punished by God for their transgressions. The depiction of fallen angels in the Book of Enoch has been controversial and has sparked debate among scholars and religious leaders. Some see them as symbolic representations of human temptation and sin, while others interpret them as literal beings with supernatural powers. Despite the controversy surrounding the depiction of fallen angels in the Book of Enoch, their portrayal continues to fascinate and inspire speculation and interpretation among scholars and religious communities.
