First British edition of Iris Vorel’s ‘Be Your Own Astrologer’, originally published in the US in 1935. This British First Edition was published by the Quality Press Ltd in London in 1942. It carries the ‘BOOK PRODUCTION WAR ECONOMY STANDARD’ authorisation. The original red cloth is in good condition, with light peeling of cloth from upper and side of front board. Front inner paper hinge cracked but webbing strong. Rear inner paper hinge cracked but webbing again strong. No markings to text. Original owner’s name on first title page. Overall, a good copy inside and out of this interesting vintage astrology guide.

The book is in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean apart from a scratch mark to the back board and the lettering on the spine is bright. There is foxing to the top edge.
