Considering the age of these books, there is wear and some dirtiness to them. There was also some writing within some of the books from previous owners.
Appears to be 1st edition (copyright page states 1942, no mention of later printings). Significant wear, as shown in photos. Most notably, the covering has come off the spine, revealing the binding. Bumps to corners and surfaces of boards. No dust jacket. All pages and boards are secure, although the binding staples are rusted and loosing their grip on the front cover (shown in photos). Should be handled with care. Moderate foxing to pages – the illustrations still shine in vivid pink, blue, and purple. Please inspect all photos.
